Landmine Marathon flies the flag for the raw proto-death metal / grindcore of the early Earache Records era.
Lead by ferocious frontwoman Grace Perry, Landmine Marathon revitalizes the early days of Bolt Thrower, Repulsion, Carcass, Napalm Death and Terrorizer, bringing
a fresh new passion to a classic era of extreme music.
Formed in 2004 in Phoenix, Arizona, the band have previously released two acclaimed, underground albums and one split album on Level Plane Records in the US. After heavy touring in the US over the past few years with the likes of Misery Index, Vital Remains and Skeletonwitch and appearances at festivals across the US including New England Metal Fest, LA Murderfest etc, the band signed with Prosthetic Records at the start of 2009.
Prosthetic Records is pleased to re-issue the second album from Landmine Marathon, “Rusted Eyes Awake” for a full European release (originally released in the US in 2008). The band will return in early 2010 with their new studio album on Prosthetic and full European touring plans!
