CRUCIFIED BARBARA’S story started in the suburbs of Stockholm back in early 1995 at a time when the grunge music was at its peak. Four young girls, who all had earlier played with different bands, got together and they found each other straight away. The girls were in a common phase of life, brought together by the same lust to wildness and a rare strong willpower to create music which was breathing self-confidence and with an aggressive attitude. This is not only about four girls who managed to land a record deal and had the opportunity to play with some of the world's greatest rock bands. It’s also about a band whose biggest dream is to rock the heart out of the audience with intelligence and a huge dose of charm!

Nicki Wicked had the rhythm in her body since childhood, and had been the drummer in a hardcore band. Ida Evileye and Klara Force had met in school and played a bit together whilst Mia Coldheart had also played with Ida in another constellation. Their meeting became magic as they realised they fitted so well together, both musically and in their way of life. In December 2004 their first single, ’Losing the Game’ was released. It became a Top 10 single in the Swedish charts. Both the single and video was played frequently on national TV and radio stations in Sweden and abroad.
Crucified Barbara’s debut album “In Distortion We Trust” was released in January 2005 and excellent reviews followed.

The band headed for some successful touring both supporting bigger acts and on their own. The touring continued during the spring and summer of 2006 and the Barbara’s played at some major festivals around Europe including Sweden Rock festival, Rock Hard, Masters of Rock etc. The hard touring gave dividend and they acquired a reputation for being a great and respected live act.
The autumn of 2006 continued with touring Australia and in November they once again packed their cases, this time for a full UK tour supporting Motörhead.

Busy with touring, while all the fans where waiting for their second album, the debut album was re-released in October 2006 with a bonus DVD about the band on the road. It included both on and off stage material and also 3 bonus tracks.
With these rock’n’ roll-beauties expression of energetic rock it was not just the Europeans who took them to their hearts. ‘In Distortion We Trust’ saw the light of day in both North and South America in 2006 and in the summer of 2007 it was Japan's turn to get to know Crucified Barbara.
Finally at the end of 2007 the band had time to start working with new material. The recording was made during the first part of 2008 with Jocke Skog from Clawfinger behind the mixing desk and with Mats Levén as producer along with the Barbara’s.
Immediately after recording the new album, Crucified Barbara was offered a Special Guest slot on the Backyard Babies UK tour. Of course, these ladies can´t refuse such an offer and it also gave them a chance to test their new material, which was received very well.
The first single “SEXACTION” was released on November 5 2008
and a video has been recorded.
On Feb 11 2008, almost exactly four years since Crucified Barbara’s debut, the new album ‘”Til’ death Do Us Party” will be released in Scandinavia and on Feb 27th, the rest of Europe will get to hear it too.
Crucified Barbara has developed through the years of experience but still have the curiosity of their youth.
They have found their own musical identity, simple straight forward hard rock with great riffs and basic - memorable and catchy songs. The future looks more than bright for Mia, Klara, Nicki and Ida!
