Fronted by vocalist Grace Perry - once heralded by MTV as a “dynamic she-beast” and widely considered one of the most captivating live performers in the metal scene – LANDMINE MARATHON has ascended steadily since its 2006 debut. Much like the apocalyptic sandstorms seen in newscasts from Landmine’s hometown of Phoenix, Arizona, the quintet brings a raw, destructive power to its grinding anthems, revitalizing the sound pioneered by bands like Bolt Thrower and Entombed.
With three albums under its belt and six years of shows, sharing stages with the likes of Trap Them, Municipal Waste, Skeletonwitch, and Tragedy, Landmine Marathon now prepares for the release of the fourth album, Gallows.

Gallows was recorded by Landmine Marathon guitarist Ryan Butler at Arcane Digital Recording Studio (Exhumed, Nightrage, Misery Index, Phobia) and mastered by Dave Shirk at Sonorous Mastering. The album features the debut of the band's new drummer, Andy York. The Gallows cover art was created by UK artist Rob “Mid “ Middleton, known for his artwork for Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror, Deviated Instinct (in which Middleton plays guitar), and more.
LANDMINE MARATHON are currently on an extensive North American tour alongside Warbringer and Lazarus AD and will head to Europe to support the album in 2012.

Phoenix, Arizona’s LANDMINE MARATHON’s new album, “Sovereign Descent ,” is a sonic representation of their world: scorched, desolate and angry as hell.
“Sovereign Descent” is the third full length and first proper new release on Prosthetic, who re-released “Rusted Eyes Awake” last year. (“Rusted Eyes Awake,” and their first release, “Wounded,” were released by Level Plane.) The album was recorded at guitarist Ryan Butler’s Arcane Digital Recording Studios, where he’s recorded past efforts from the band, as well as Misery Index, Phobia, The Funeral Pyre and many more. The album was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (Converge, Hatebreed, Dillinger Escape Plan) and features cover art by acclaimed artist Dan Seagrave ( Entombed, Dismember, Morbid Angel, Suffocation).
